Danil Rogulin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He started out as a translator and educator. Art photography has always been a parallel pursuit and is now his primary focus. In addition to art photography, he has completed assignments for international print and online media. Rogulin is primarily interested in the representation of the environment, architecture, and portraiture. He had a solo photography exhibition at the Consulate General of India in St. Petersburg, Russia. Rogulin has worked on assignments for The Economist and other online media. He has been based in Hong Kong since 2018.
