Textures Mamiya 6 and Fuji XT2
India, Thailand, Colombia, Nepal, Turkey, Russia — the places that form the inner fabric of my travels and the core of who I am as a photographer.
This series is about presence: being in a place at a specific moment in time, and attending to the way light falls, the way geometry asserts itself, the way surfaces carry the memory of weather and age and use. Rock, water, mist, bark, snow, stone. The world offering itself to be looked at closely.
Textures is not a series about destinations. It is about the quality of attention that travel makes possible — a way of seeing that slows down long enough to find the pattern inside the chaos, the geometry inside the natural, the stillness inside the journey.
These images are the soul of my photographic practice.
